When the finish on cabinets is a varnish, oil or any kind of mineral-spirits, before painting takes place, the surface must be properly cleaned and prepared for good paint adhesion by using a very special primer. Next, and most important, to prevent chipping, cracking, blistering, pealing and fading of color. Gary applies 2 coats of paint by hand for a thick layer of paint, rather than an unevenly sprayed, thin mist of paint !
